  • 1. Consultation
We meet and you tell me everything you can about you want from the garden, what you like and don’t like, its scope, its use, its feel, types of material, its timing and maintenance together with the types of plants that you like and your budget for the project.
  • 2. Confirmation
I will present an overview to ensure I have fully understood your requirements, outline concepts and a fee proposal.
  • 3. Survey
I will undertake a full survey of the site in question and provide a first draft masterplan for agreement. Please note for some sites this work may have to be outsourced to account for changing levels, size, pipework etc.
  • 4. Master Plan
Once we have agreed the design, I will produce the final master plan, setting out and lighting plans in a form that can be used as tender documents for contractor.
  • 5. Planting
I will produce a detailed planting plan and, at the appropriate time and if required, source the plants and trees and carry out the work.
  • 6. Aftercare
I will produce a full list of plants together with care instructions to ensure the garden always looks its best.

I passionately believe that the garden should be designed around your needs and requirements.  In my experience many people are nervous about the creative part of the design being taken out of their hands and misinterpreted; part of my role is listening and being sensitive to my clients so that they are in control of each step of the design.
